Slide the disc. The clerk stamps the latch. Nicknames stay in the hall.

Late face gets a chit, not a pep talk.

Mae writes FACE LATE on enamel. That chit travels with the disc until the hardware or the teacher changes the sentence.

Path nicknames hide late faces. A player says "I come over it" when the face is simply arriving after the path has already gone by. The chit is specific: how late, in which air, on which turf. Without the chit, a millwright would be guessing which bolt to cut. We do not guess at this counter.
